Blessing of the Hands Offered to MHS Nurses

In celebration of Nurses Week, the Nursing Department of Memorial Health System (MHS) offered the nurses and all direct patient care staff of MHS a “Blessing of the Hands.” This meaningful event, performed by Pastor Lindsey Brummer, took place in different nursing departments at Memorial Hospital.

National Nurses Day is celebrated annually on May 6 to raise awareness of the important role nurses play in society. It marks the beginning of National Nurses Week, which ends on May 12, the birthday of English nurse Florence Nightingale. Nightingale became known as the founder of professional nursing.

MHS is proud of the nurses who serve the patients, residents, and clients of the health system. MHS thanks each nurse for the care they provide each day.
