“Break the Stigma-Associated with Mental Health as it Relates to Physical Health” to be Featured at Lunch Meeting

JoLynn Davis, Senior Life Solutions Program Director; Jenna Kisling, LMSW with Senior Life Solutions; Jandi Wells, LPN with Senior Life Solutions; Jennifer Kirkpatrick, Memorial Health System (MHS) Dietitian; and Jacob Loucks, MHS Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Physical Therapist will be the guest speakers at the next Healthwise 55 luncheon. They will speak on the topic of “Break the Stigma-Associated with Mental Health as it Relates to Physical Health.”

The event will be on Tuesday, June 5, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Nichols Education Center (lower level of Learn & Grow Depot), 1003 N. Brady, in Abilene. The cost is $5 to cover the price of the meal. Please call Michelle McClanahan, MHS Director of Volunteer Services, at (785) 263-6692 by Thursday, May 31, to make a reservation.

Healthwise 55 is a luncheon and health information program hosted by the MHS Volunteer Corps. It is open to the public for individuals ages 55 and older. It includes a meal followed by a health care professional speaking on a health-related topic.
