MHS Employees Donate to Cedar House

Employees of Memorial Health System (MHS) recently wore blue jeans at work for another “Jeans Day” fundraiser. Employees who made a donation of at least $5 were allowed to wear blue jeans on the last Friday of January. The day was organized by the MHS Employer of Choice (EOC) committee. A total donation of $255 was presented to the Cedar House organization of Abilene. The Cedar House is a women’s sober living environment where they provide an atmosphere of caring support, structure, rules, education, and guidance. One of the projects of the Cedar House is the greenhouse on 14th Street in Abilene. The greenhouse is open on weekends beginning in mid-May, with all proceeds from sales going back to the Cedar House.
