MHSVC Scholarships Awarded

The Memorial Health System Volunteer Corps (MHSVC) is pleased to announce Shailynn Gfeller and Julie Rock, both 2020 graduates of Chapman High School, have each been awarded a $500 scholarship. Shailynn will be attending Cloud County Community College this fall, and then will apply to the University of Kansas School of Medicine to become a pediatrician. Julie has been accepted to the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering at Kansas State University, and will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biological/agricultural engineering with a focus on biological systems, cell biology, immunology, and genetics. She then plans to apply to medical school. The Memorial Health System Volunteer Corps presents two scholarships annually to local high school seniors who have volunteered their time within the community and plan to pursue a career in health care.
