Dr. Kimmy Hinman joins Heartland Health Care Clinic

Memorial Health System is pleased to announce Kimmy Hinman, M.D. has joined the medical staff of Heartland Health Care Clinic.

Dr. Hinman is a 2018 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine. While there, she was inducted to the Gold Humanism Honor Society in 2017, awarded the Monte Maska MD Family Medicine Scholarship, and received the Jaydoc Community Clinic M4 Volunteer award. In June of 2021, Dr. Hinman completed her residency from Indiana at IU Ball Memorial Family Medicine Residency and soon after, she packed her bags and moved to Abilene!

Dr. Hinman said, “I am really enjoying Abilene as my new home and feel so lucky to have moved here. I love being able to walk through town, gaze at the beautiful houses, and meet lots of friendly, welcoming folks along the way. There are also so many fun events that I’ve been able to enjoy, with some COVID distancing of course! I’m excited to keep discovering the beauty of this town and community.”

When Dr. Hinman was asked what drives her to be the kind of doctor she strives to be she said, “This job is wonderful because of the people. I have the opportunity to get to know my patients and see them across many years and experiences through their life. I am grateful for the chance to care for others and help in achieving their goals for their wellness.”
