Bereavement Support Class Offered in Abilene

Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County partners with Community Bible Church GriefShare program to offer bereavement seminars in Abilene. The next class will be on Sunday, November 6 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the topic is “Surviving the Holidays.” These classes are held at the Home Health and Hospice office, 1111 N. Brady, Abilene. Susie Gassman, Bereavement Coordinator, serves as the group facilitator and Anita Williams is the co-facilitator.

These gatherings are designed to help individuals work through the period of transition, allow time for sharing personal experiences and feelings, and provide guidance toward learning and coping skills.

The public is welcome to attend the free sessions. Persons interested in the seminars are encouraged to bring along a supportive person. To register for the seminar, please visit mhsks.org/home_health_hospice and click on “Bereavement Support” under Hospice Services.

Anyone with questions should contact Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County at 785-263-6630 in Abilene.
