  1. Acute Care

    Acute Care

    When illness or minor injuries happen, our team is here to help. Heartland Health Care Clinic provides acute care for sudden, short-term health concerns such as colds, flu, infections, rashes, minor injuries, or other symptoms that need timely medical attention. Our providers will evaluate your condition, diagnose the issue, and recommend treatment to help you start feeling better as quickly as possible.

    Acute care visits are designed for non-life-threatening conditions. If you are experiencing severe symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, or other medical emergencies, please seek care at the Emergency Department or call 911.

  2. Annual Wellness Visits

    Annual Wellness Visits

    Annual wellness visits help you stay on top of your health by giving you a full checkup and preventive care. These visits are tailored to your age, health history, and risk factors, and can help detect issues early, manage existing conditions, and guide healthy lifestyle choices.

    Types of Wellness Visits:

    • Well-Child Visits: Regular checkups for children to monitor growth, development, vaccinations, and overall health.

    • Adolescent/Teen Visits: Focus on physical, emotional, and social health, including guidance on nutrition, activity, and mental well-being.

    • Adult Preventive Visits: Comprehensive exams for adults, including screenings for chronic conditions, vaccinations, and lifestyle counseling.

    • Medicare Annual Wellness Visit: A yearly visit for Medicare patients to review your health risks, create a personalized prevention plan, and update your health records.

    Wellness visits are a proactive way to stay healthy, prevent complications, and keep your care plan up to date.

  5. Minor Surgical Procedures

    Minor Surgical Procedures

    Our clinic offers minor in-office procedures to treat common skin concerns, small wounds, and minor injuries. From stitching cuts to removing harmless skin lesions, our team provides safe, effective care to help you heal comfortably without the need for a hospital visit.

    Typical examples include:

    • Skin procedures: Removal of moles, skin tags, cysts, or other minor lesions.

    • Wound care: Cleaning, suturing (stitches), and dressing minor cuts or lacerations.

    • Biopsies: Small skin or tissue biopsies for testing.

    • Ingrown toenail or nail procedures: Simple interventions for minor nail issues.

    • Abscess drainage: Draining small abscesses or boils under local anesthesia.

  6. Shared OB Care

    Shared OB Care

    Heartland Health Care Clinic offers Shared Care OB in partnership with Salina Women’s Clinic, giving you convenient, compassionate care throughout your pregnancy. Start prenatal care with any of our five OB providers right here at HHCC. Around 28 weeks, you’ll transition to your chosen OB/GYN at Salina Women’s Clinic for delivery at Salina Regional Health Center, supported by your physician and a pediatrician. After delivery, we continue your care with postpartum and newborn visits, because your journey doesn’t end at the hospital.

  7. Sports Physicals

    Sports Physicals

    Stay game-ready with our comprehensive sports physicals. We assess overall health, check vital signs, and evaluate your fitness for participation in school or recreational sports. Quick, thorough, and convenient, these exams help keep athletes safe and compliant with league requirements.

    Vaccines

    Protect yourself and your loved ones with recommended vaccines for all ages. Our clinic provides routine immunizations, including flu shots, COVID-19 vaccines, travel vaccines, and those for children, teens, and adults.   9. Walk In Clinic

    Walk In Clinic

    Need care without an appointment? Avoid the hassle of scheduling an appointment and use our walk-in clinic!
    Patients are seen in the order they arrive, and do NOT have to be established patients of Heartland Health Care Clinic.
    With our walk-in option you receive convenient, same-day treatment for minor illnesses and injuries while avoiding the costs of an emergency room visit.

    Examples of convenient treatments:

    • Cold and flu
    • Sore throat
    • Ear infection
    • Laceration repairs
    • Muscle strains and pains
    • Minor aches and pains

    As always, with any critical emergency situation, we encourage you utilize the emergency department or call 911.

    7:00 – 11:00 A.M and 1:00 – 6:00 P.M. (closed for lunch)

  1. New Patient Packets

    We are glad that you want to become a patient of Heartland Health Care Clinic and we look forward to providing you and your family with the best medical care possible.  Please fill out the patient packet in full detail and return to Heartland Health Care Clinic within two weeks.  You may do that in any of the following ways:

    • Drop it off in person
    • Fax it to 785-263-2774
    • Email it to hhccnewpatient@mhsks.org
    • Mail it to 511 NE 10th St., Abilene, KS, 67410

    For speedier processing, please include photocopies (front and back) of your insurance cards.  If you desire to bring them with you to your first appointment we can scan them at that time as well.  In order to provide you with the best care, our providers need your prior medical records before your appointment.  Please make sure to fill out the release form included with the patient packet.  Please note:  it can take up to 30 days to receive records from another facility, and we can schedule your first appointment with that in mind.
