Impact Sports and Fitness Adds Personal Trainer

Impact Sports and Fitness in Abilene announces the addition of Austin Childs to the staff as a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, specializing in strength and conditioning.

“Coach Austin” brings over eight years of experience in strength and conditioning, tactical fitness, and group training to Impact Sports and Fitness. A former United States Coast Guard Officer in Deployable Specialized Forces, he led physical readiness programs for elite tactical teams and holds top-tier credentials including NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association), CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist), and CrossFit Level 1.

His coaching style blends military precision with a deep understanding of injury prevention, mobility, and performance optimization. Whether you are chasing a podium, recovering from injury, or just getting started, Coach Austin delivers smart, scalable programming that builds strength, resilience, and confidence in every athlete.

Austin lives in Manhattan. He is married with two young children. In his spare time, he enjoys being outside, fitness, hiking, and kayaking.
