Join Impact Sports & Fitness and the Memorial Health Foundation for Impact the Cause 2026! A community event designed to bring individuals and families together through movement, connection, education, and experiences that encourage wellness for your mind and body. Whether you participate in the run, fun activities for the kids, explore community resources, or simply spend time outdoors together, there will be opportunities for all ages to enjoy a fun and meaningful day focused on overall well-being.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
$30.00 – Pre – Registration open until August 7th
▶ T-shirt is guaranteed
▶ $2 added if you require XXL size shirt
▶ T-shirt packet pick up will be available on September 10th and 11th
from 7am – 3:30pm at the Caring Hearts Gift Shop in the hospital lobby.
$35.00 – Same Day Registration

EVENT ACTIVITIES
7:00 AM – Same Day Registration
▶ Participants who do not register online may register on the day of the event, but t-shirts are not guaranteed.
8:00 AM – 5K Run
▶ A medal will be awarded to each male and female 5K finisher for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group.
8:00 AM – 2 Mile Fun Walk
▶ Walkers are lined up after the runners. This is noncompetitive – enjoy movement at your own pace while spending time with family and friends!
8:45 AM – Kids’ Obstacle Course
▶ Children are invited to participate in a fun obstacle course challenge built to encourage movement, energy, and excitement.
StoryWalk
▶ This has no start time. Take a stroll along the walking trail while enjoying a story one page at a time. This interactive experience encourages movement, reading, and family connection.
Extras at the Event
▶ Enjoy breakfast and other local favorites available for purchase.
▶ Visit with organizations and agencies from throughout Dickinson County sharing valuable programs, services, and resources that support overall wellness and quality of life.
▶ Cheerleaders from Abilene High School always make this event special with their morale boosting energy to start the day!

EVENT PROCEEDS
Proceeds from Impact the Cause 2026 will support Wellness Prescriptions at Heartland Health Care Clinic. This program allows providers to connect patients with resources that encourage healthier lifestyles and help remove barriers to managing chronic health conditions. Wellness Prescriptions may include a free one-month membership to Impact Sports & Fitness, along with other supportive resources based on each patient’s individual needs.
