Want to serve as a Community Advisor?
Community Advisors are required to attend six meetings per year, and serve a minimum one-year term with the opportunity to serve additional terms.
Examples of what advisors are asked to do include:
- Identify local patient and family health care needs.
- Provide feedback on current processes at the hospital and affiliates.
- Discuss new ideas on how to improve the quality of care.
- Promote awareness of opportunities and key healthcare resources to the community.
- Generate ideas for programs and/or education to benefit patients, family members, and caregivers.
- Enhance ongoing collaboration and cooperation among healthcare providers, patients, and families.
- Participate in the development and planning of items such as patient and family satisfaction initiatives, new facilities, and facility renovation.
As part of the application process, selected applicants may be asked to interview with members of PFAC. The council will approve advisor selections together. It is important that PFAC has the best representation to fulfill its mission.
