Local Boy Continues to Help Comfort Other Children, with Help From Others

Cooper Holloway continues to create “Cooper’s Care Cases” as a way to comfort children at medical facilities. Cooper recently donated approximately 160 “cases” (actually draw-string bags) to Memorial Hospital in Abilene which will be given to children who are patients in the Emergency Department, Laboratory, Radiology, In-Patient Unit, and Heartland Health Care Clinic. Cooper had help in preparing the “cases” from Deb Farr, Abilene High School (AHS) Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, and her AHS students for a seminar service project; Abby Garver, who donated supplies and material; Wanda Pitney, who donated material for the bags; and the Eisenhower Center for donating some bags. The “case”, which Cooper fills, contains a notebook for writing and coloring, a storybook, small notepads, crayons, a pen, pencils, stickers, and a note from Cooper to “stay strong like Cooper.”
