Volunteer Corps Grants Gift to Respiratory Care and Cardiac Rehab Departments

The Memorial Health System Volunteer Corps (MHSVC) recently purchased a Scifit REX Recumbent Elliptical full body exercise machine for the Respiratory Care and Cardiac Rehabilitation departments at Memorial Hospital through the volunteers’ annual gifting program. “This is a great addition to our program, as it will allow for us to serve more patients and provide a more varied program to all of our least mobile patients,” said Respiratory Therapy Manager, Matt Mead. Pictured with the new exercise machine, from left, are Mead; Marilyn Spencer, MHSVC Past-President; and McKenzie Funston, MHS Director of Volunteer Services. The MHSVC holds several fundraisers each year to raise money to support and enhance services within the health system’s many departments.
