Herington Hero Award Winner, Bev Trevorrow

By Haley Jones, Director of Development and Marketing

Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County in Herington, an affiliate of Memorial Health System in Abilene, has selected the next Herington Hero Award for January.  Congratulations Bev Trevorrow, and thank you for taking care of Herington!

Bev’s nomination had this to say about her:

“Bev volunteers for First Christian Church and the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars).  She works hard for our veterans and is involved in many community projects.  Bev has a heart for service, and serves diligently at the church.  Bev has been an officer for the VFW and currently serves as the Board President at First Christian Church.  She is also the president of CWF, and is head of our local commodities; serving under-privileged families.  Bev has a great work ethic.  She takes on jobs that no one else wants to do and does them well.  Her faith shines through everything she does.”

“When I contacted Bev to let her know that she was our next hero, she was speechless,” said Kesa Riffel, Office Coordinator.  “I asked her to tell me a little bit about the things she is involved in and she told me that she enjoys helping her community.  Her husband was in the military for 25 years, and she has been the President of Auxiliary for 13 years now.  She said many people need help and she wishes more of them took advantage of the help that is out there.

Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County in Herington plans to continue doing this every month.  February 1 starts round nine of nominations.  If you know someone deserving of this award, and want to share it with the Herington community, please fill out the form online at: http://mhsks.org/herington-hero-award/ or stop by the Herington office at 11 N Broadway, we’ll be happy to see you!

If you or your business would like to help sponsor a hero for a month, please contact us at 785-258-3611 or stop by our office.  We not only recognize our hero by sharing their story but also give them a small token of appreciation.  We would love to open this opportunity up to anyone who wants to help us award these amazing individuals.
